Appeal for public support!
The plight of the mentally ill is a concern of adults, children and visitors alike.
These less fortunate persons wander our streets dingy, often naked and may be dangerous to themselves other persons and property. The business district suffers from these persons creating eyesores adjacent their stores, and sometimes intimidating customers. We should note carefully that the law allows the mentally ill to claim diminished responsibility; which means that he may not be responsible for his actions. Therefore we urge our citizens to contribute to this cause via cash and kind, or volunteering their time to the rehabilitation of these mentally ill persons.
